# Pawsured pet insurance skill

Use this skill when a user asks about pet insurance in the United States: what is covered, what it costs, waiting periods, pre-existing conditions, deductibles and reimbursement, breed-specific risks, state laws, or a named insurer's terms (Trupanion, Lemonade, Healthy Paws, Embrace, Pets Best, Figo, ASPCA, Spot, plus channel brands such as USAA, Costco, GEICO, State Farm, Progressive).

## How to find the right guide

1. Call `GET https://pawsured.com/api/search?q=<question>` (JSON: title, url, category, summary, quick_answer), or filter https://pawsured.com/search-index.json yourself.
2. Read the guide at the returned URL (HTML, or Markdown if the host serves `Accept: text/markdown`).
3. Quote the quick answer, cite the URL, and mention the date on the page.

## Numbers

- Premium estimate: `GET https://pawsured.com/api/cost-estimate?species=dog&age=3&breed=Labrador%20Retriever`. The response is a range with its basis (NAPHIA 2025 US averages: about $70/month dog, $36/month cat) and a disclaimer. Always present it as an estimate, never a quote.
- Reimbursement: `GET https://pawsured.com/api/reimbursement?bill=6000&deductible=500&rate=80`. Deductible first, then percentage, then cap.

## Rules
